Age in our society

There is a course in college called sociology. It's teaches about different cultures and societies in the world and reason why different ones have different ways of living. Has anyone payed attention to America couture or do we just "be" and "do" without thought? I know all my readers definitely think about such, so I would like to know why America is so quick to grow up on our own. And why there is so much weight on being "too old" for something, like say finding yourself?
I know many people who do not have life figure out (career wise) well into their 30's. And that's, I'm sure, is pushing it for my readers (30 no way), but what if I said 40? Let's think about it for a woman this would be looked on as bad and for a man, as well. But a man can get away with not getting his "act" together until he is in his 40's and no one would think this is wrong. Yet those same men want anyone around them to have a career goal set up and accomplished by the time they are 25, if that late.
Ha! What a joke. This is how many people get pushed into careers they don't want to show up too. Or know they are meant for something else, yet spent money they will be spending their whole life to pay off and, or, their parents would be upset so therefore they just stay put. I wish we could get over this in our society. I could go deeper but it would be a lot of feedback I do not want to deal with so you come up with situations and scenarios of the same type of conversation throughout your day. Thanks
*** in the Bible and other sources outside of the Bible talks about how people live hundreds of years. Actually the decline happened gradually, when? you guessed it after the fall of man when we didn't have the tree of life anymore (immortality). and you can read into the Bible where it states different ages of people. Methuselah is the oldest person mentioned in the Bible, reported to have lived to the age of 969. We could live that long again. Our bodies are meant to reproduce and cells regrown and so on. But we have to get back to that, and treat our bodies as temples (house for our car/us). We would keep our house clean and oil for the vehicle to not die and could live forever really. We are the same. So I think we need to start reversing our actions and stop putting a marker on how old a person is to accomplish something. Let your child figure it out don't go by American standards, heck you might need to still figure it out. And another thing is its so easy to get caught up in a matrix style of life (culture/asleep) we need to start thinking and what I mean is critical thinking skills, use your brain like you are working on your abs, so the matrix can be a thing of the past, and you will no longer be walking around just agreeing to agree with your society you are in if its not meant to be like such.
