1 Corinthians 16:13
“Be on guard. Stand firm in faith. Be courageous. Be strong.” Who does not need to hear these words when the world is in total crazy chaos? Things are more strange than the twilight zone series could even think up. Not to mention the selfish acts of everyone, and their following the “leader.” which, by the way results in doing harm towards others and leads to hinderess and darkness of the way Jesus wants. Because every leader is following whats on his heart, according to the bible. however If you are not “in the world” aka society of today and your eyes are open, then I know you are crying out to God to take you to heaven right now and “where is the rapture?’’
This is why this verse is so powerful. When you are getting tested and are dealing with trials (trials by way of action/reaction in life example being an illness and your action/reaction and so fore. Also having to live in a cruel, broken world full of war and sadness. This is when we have to stand firm and not break, rather to be on guard at all times. Fall we can do, we are human, that is when God will pick us up, every time.
Evil intentions runs everything, we have to be on guard because it might not look that way. The bible says what is evil will look good and what is good will look evil. Moral understanding has gone to the wind. This is why it is easy for people to make fun of other people like there is nothing wrong with it, for example. It's our job as christian's or people in general to not judge them and condemn them, however. We are supposed to show them the right way. And stand courageous and strong while we do it. If it's not Jesus' way, then it's not the right way. If you are getting stuck or caught up in anything other than righteousness then you are probably to comfortable and “in the world.” which means your following blindly someone who is also blind and think you are following Jesus, if you are a christian. You really can not do both.
And again this is not to condemn this is to show we have to lead in faith of Jesus at all times and be on guard. If not you will get drawn to something that you're not aware of is even the wrong way, again, this is why this verse is so important.
Please if you are a christian evaluate your life where it is right now. What are your motives, have you asked yourself what Jesus would do, lately? How would Jesus want me to handle this? If you have fallen asleep in the last few years, have gotten comfortable and relaxed outside of God, then my friend you are not aligned with Jesus anymore.
The bible is clear most people are walking blind right now in the last days. (I say last days because when it gets as bad as it is there is really no where else to go.) I was blind. I was so blind I doubted Jesus was even real. But he woke me up. And then after I woke up and wanted to go to heaven he said “you want heaven right now but there are still people that need to be saved, go and bring them home.”
