Content Responsibility

         Once upon a time there were ratings on content children watch. Now our children are watching unrated and sometimes agenda based programming from content creators and other sources. Cursing, sexual innuendo, commentaries on figures like Epstein among other endless material that is heavily influencing our children. When does the protection of children and all people and the responsibility we have come in?     

      The more we go further into the future of today we have to be more on guard and aware of influential content that is affecting not just our children but all people. Not only should there be better restrictions in place, there should be a new system to protect our minds. Here are some laws in place right now. 

• Parental Consent: For children under 13 (COPPA) and increasingly for older minors (state laws).

• Privacy Policies: Operators must disclose data collection, use, and parent rights.

• Data Sales Restrictions: Limiting selling or sharing children's personal data.

• Content Filtering: In schools and libraries.

• Parental Controls: Tools for managing privacy, spending, and screen time. 

Do any of these laws seem like they protect or is a real solution to protecting children? We need a group of people to create a system that is in the likes of the American military solid foundation for our children’s well being. We have music videos that are readily available to children that are basically soft porn.  We have nothing in place that is giving the idea that this is NOT OK. Everything is on the table today for them, whereas it seems like years ago we at least tried more.  I think all people should be more mindful and aware of the negativity on the level of sexual imagery, killing, violence, gang activity, even some news that show victims being killed to name a few.  

     And furthermore our school systems are severely lacking in the proper care and teaching of our children and the respect for the teachers. If we have the top Military in the world why do we not have the top education system in the world; as we have failing schools in most every district of the country. And yes, different factors contribute to the grading of a school:  poverty, location, teachers and other factors but why is this a “thing” that has not been fixed in our country? 

Republican-dominated states invest the least in public education. Having a state by state system for our education to begin with seems like a flaw that should not be there. Rather it needs to be federal, (all states included) within the united domain of the country when it factors in our children's education or anything related to them).

        Also the budget for education is not sufficient for maintaining proper care for our children and their safety. We should not have any C , D or F rated schools yet the country is littered with them. Are our actions based on facts- that we do not care about the quality of education? Or is it that we are getting ahead of ourselves and haven't slowed down to catch up to what is happening? 

      If the saying or quote “6-7” can get around like it has within our country -(and yes this example is small and simple comparison to the weight of the topic but i use it still) -if it can get around then we see  what people care about and what moves the country- and it is not what really matters. My point is that it's easy to make an impact- we should  just be making one that affects our being to greatness, as well.

***  Children are seeing more inappropriate and harm that affects their molding of being- outside of school and then the weight of adulthood is put on them and furthermore they have to deal with an education system we pay for to be so relaxed and nonchalant aka not important enough to make a change or good impact for their future.

***** This article is not to attack content creators, it is to show that we need to be held to a responsible standard of what we make and put out there and how it affects the world. Disney movie classics are classics because of the quality of material that can be enjoyed timelessly due to the respect it has for people of all ages. We have a responsibility as people to produce the same from the leaders of the country to the smallest of us all in any content we produce even just living day to day and how we carry ourselves is content.

*** Also it's not just children that don't need to see all the things we want to protect them from, it is all humans. We are all children of God and should not see it or be a part of it.
