Rules/tips for safe driving
Snow- Can you see the headlight or road in front of you?
—-yes ok you can still drive, however reduce speed and count 7 to 9 seconds of space between you and other cars
—No ok find an exit to park if possible, if not reduce speed to a crawl, turn on hazards stay in slow lane.
(always keep watch in all mirrors for oncoming traffic and potential accidents)
Same rules apply for all road conditions as above
Rain/Wind- Can you see the headlights or road in front of you?
—yes you can drive, if you happen to hydroplane (lose traction with ground) remove foot from petals, and try to gently steer straight- as in the same direction as its going WHAT EVER YOU DO: DO NOT JERK YOUR WHEEL IN ANY SITUATION.
No— do not Drive! If you have to slow to crawl in slow lane with hazards.
Stay prayed up, with good wholesome energy at all times relying on God throughout it all.
Normal weather or any other weather I didn't mention
—Always know where all cars are on the road surounding you at all times, this includes cars as far ahead as you can see.
—- Always look left right left right after a stop (pedestrians/bikers etc)
—- make it a habit to subconsciously pay attention to everything. Like breathing. That way your reactions will kick in before you notice
I almost flipped my 18 wheeler trailer in snow when I first started driving big rigs and let me tell you I was driving in snow for the first time ever, in a city I did not know none the less (Florida born and raised with hills kept to a minimal. So it was scary to say the least. As I was driving, not very fast but I could/should have been even slower, but i digress, I could not see the lines on the road and was going around a slight curve and ran off the road. When I noticed I veered back onto the road, however as I looked in my side mirror to the left i notice my two back trailer wheels were off the ground. So basically instead of freaking out I held my foot to the pedal at same speed and slightly adjusted my steering without adjusting if that makes sense. But really I think God saved me.
And from then on I realized all it takes is one mistake and it could all be fatal or bothersome none the less.
Most accidents happen by careless driving. I mean if you cared about NOT getting into any accident as you do about keeping your phone charged then you wouldn't get into an accident.. (think about it)
Be safe Love you all, God first
