Lust, Lust and Death

Lust is very prevalent in our society, to the point of zoning off the section to be contained and exterminated before it kills us all. It has seeped into society so much that it seems normal while still feeling uneasy and wrong yet no one knows how to deal with it or get it out. My advice is to understand it is not from the father first, and accept that you can be free from it. 

   Yes that is where you start to make the change, once you can understand this, it will be like not going near a dangerous drug or walking into a blazing fire, you just know to stay away from it, as it is not good. It is a ploy from the devil to get you in a set of chains so you can be controlled and tortured, sometime without knowing. Just like he wouldn't mind if you did drugs your whole life or talked to people like they are nothing, which is wrong and causes damage and harm to all involved and the future as a whole. The same can be to be applied when speaking about lust. 

 Colossians 3:5 is the perfect verse to go to because it blatantly tells you to put it to death. “So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.” 

  we have to understand what is from God and what is brought out from energies and thoughtfulness along our path of doing things our way for however long we been without God. It is then driven within from this realm we are in of the fallen state of being. It's all because of one man Adam; is how sinned entered the world. When he took from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, this is the consequences of that. So we have to conquer it in order to get back to the correct realm of being. If not, we stay to death and in a cycle without coming out. It's like being born and reliving the same day every time you wake up. You have to do something different within that day to  break that cycle to be a new day. 

   So with that being said to put to death something means what? Bury it, say goodbye. Don't make it a thing that is a to do list like a,b,c,d and check it off. No, that is keeping it alive. Go to Jesus in your heart/head and talk to him. Tell him your problems and invite him in to help you. Get vulnerable with him. And release your problem to him. You will not be able to do it alone because we were born into sin. It's like changing your blood type, it's not possible, without help.  Jesus, the holy spirit and God are here to help you. Just remember to stay away as you are dealing with the situation with Jesus, and one day it won't affect you at all any longer, like finally paying off your last car payment.
