Why I think Judges and the law system should have a psychology curriculum

   Judges get to hand sentencing to people who walk through the courts however they so choose without knowing the mind frame attached to the person. And I would like to talk about this in detail, I was looking into a case of a man who had a previous record for shooting someone . He was released from prison after a few years to then go on to intimating a witness who he had assaulted. He received a 24 month supervised probation sentencing as a result. I also look at someone who sell's drugs or are doing drugs who faces a felony charge with no chance of getting it off their record after they serve months up to life in prison, with no history of involving others in force of any kind.

     So it seems like the law and court systems are outdated with how they handle the system. Also they do not seem to focus on rehabilitation and correcting people that come through the system, probably because they do not know how to and proper action is not available.

How to fix this problem to truly correct crime and people, Wouldn't it make sense to work closely with a psychologist for all cases being tried in a court? And wouldn't it make sense for  there to be a curriculum created for the mental aspect that should go into the decision making of sentencing all individuals? And with that, should there be a proper plan of action for correctly correcting these people so they can have a different future, for example anger management but more than that a psychology assigned to them in jail or wherever they are sentence so they can go to the root of the problem to correct it so no more wrong doing occur?

    Now speaking directly on the case's above. Which seems truly dangerous -a person who does or sells drugs or someone who intimates someone? The answer is so clear it doesn't have to be a question really. But let me break it down none the less. A person feels they have a right to treat someone how they so choose that goes against what the other person who they are doing to do wants should be a major red flag that screams danger. Why? Because its opposing each other. One person is obviously getting hurt as a result. Then you have a person choosing to do drugs or sell drugs to someone who wants to do drugs. (I'm strictly using these examples for the sentencing amount of the two, only and not saying that the drug scenario shouldn't be handled for correction.)

I am going just to use my mother as an example. She was handed a four month sentence for a drug charge. One week after she was released from jail she passed away, from drugs. 

 Did the judge take into consideration she had two underage children at home waiting for her return that night? No. Did anyone take into consideration she would get out and do the same thing because it was a problem that was hidden beneath the surface? No. So why is it called correction center at all?

I believe the court's just add to the problem. They do not have any knowledge of the psychological side of things, yet are able to partake in the lives of all who they encounter without really caring about them, or our society it seems. So the courts are doing nothing but wasting tax payer money and not helping at all. In fact the only time we hear of people changing from their past is when they “found something” like a religion or a purpose. In fact most lose all hope and never change for goodness or just end up surviving in society because they don't ever get help or a second chance after they get out.

    If there was a proper system in place then the judge who gave the guy  24 months of supervised probation would have understood that intimation is a a scary word to begin with and needs to be handle and dealt as such, meaning, not just jail time but plan a course of action for properly addressing the core problem within him and correcting it for his future and other who he interacts with. If that had happened a mother might be alive right now whose life he took two months after he was sentenced; and my mother might be here as well. 

    I think as we go forward job's need to be created for truly helping and correcting people instead of making the problem worse. Also, the country needs to grow for its community for the safety and betterment, especially the “system”, as they get way with so much; cops and others in the law are not being held to a higher or at least the same standard as civilians. It breeds for a power surge or above the law mentality that has to be avoided and stopped.  

   As we move forward I truly hope that the law get updated for the betterment of our society, I am so sick of seeing corruption all through the system, seeing shooting and and people paying off their crimes, so no one ever learns their lessons, people going to jail get out to not being able to get a job or continuing what they had known because they were never taught anything else. And people getting away with crimes because of who they are. It all a waste. Its time for people to start caring about all people and making proper solutions to problems for a change to righteousness.

P.S. My own drug possession charge mugshot from 2022 is still on face put there BY the sheriff! Now tell me corruption isn't in the system!! there are no true protection for the rights of people it seems. They are supposed to be the good guys who protect you! I haven't touched drugs and have changed my life and served my time yet they want to continue it.
