Renee Nicole Good

My thoughts on the killing of Renee Nicole Good.

    Protocol anyone? What should have been the proper way to address that incident from every party involved? There was no mutual respect coming from any sides. That was the first issue I noticed.

The ICE officers in general, take a stance of hard-core, rough and tough, and a scary presents with them. They seem do what they want with masks on so they do not have an accountability to factor in. (which I think is the point) An officer should not be killing someone or think it is OK to whip our gun out. He would have never gotten run over if he was using real police safety and proper respect toward the victim. Their job is to deescalate any and all situations and to protect. They have the responsibility to do what is best for everyone. It was a chaotic mess destined for a bad outcome just  look at the damage outside of the victim death, someone was run over, cars were destroyed and so on.

     I think they should have handcuffed both of them for safety or made them stand on the side out of the car. If the women refused they then should have blocked the road and called for backup to detain the women. Not going back and forth with phones out and yanking car doors and standing around the car where they could get hurt. That was the most unprofessional thing to do. (almost like he wanted that to happen or he just threw what safety he learned out the window). Why couldn't they ask her to get out of the vehicle and if she refused then they could have tasered her or used another tactic? I don't understand how it got to the point of all of this. 

   * I do not like to speak about the deceased, since they are not here to defend themselves or comment.

     The Bible describes these times as tumultuous, with widespread deception, societal breakdown (lawlessness, hatred, betrayal) Matthew 24, 2 Timothy 3, 2 Peter 3, and Revelation (taken from Google). We have to be careful and I'm sorry for all the parties involved I pray for them all, even the officers ,as I would like to see better judgement and decisions from people going forward. 

 Ways we can start doing better

• Phones down in situation you have to handle and think(use your brain) and interact with others

• Think about the safety of others AND yourself

• What would God think - ask God to help you in every situation especially when you don't know the best decision 

• Speak and deal with how you would want them to speak and deal with you, even if they DON’T

• Think about what your great- grandparents would want or think about all this, they are probably rolling in their graves at the world right now 

• going forward peaceful protest and to forgive so fire is no longer fought with fire and a real impact of change can be made.

**** This was avoidable; no guns should have been pulled out. Period. And if the ICE officers weren't man- handling every situation, then the people would not be on high alert, on guard, and in fighting mode. People do not want to be taken advantage of nor should they be. Our country has gotten to a point of doing whatever they so choose to anyone they so choose to. And people are tired of it. 

 That is the bottom line.
