There is no parent book. There is no enter the world when you are 18 book. I remember when I turned 18, I knew nothing as I stepped foot out of the protection of my parents. Going shopping for groceries, renting an apartment or anything in between was, scary and foreign; and a book would not have helped. No way, buddy! Or would it?
Well the bible says "Your faith will grow strong in the truth you were thought, and you will overflow with thankfulness.'' This is Colossians 2:7. Reading the bible can seem foreign in itself sometimes, I mean people right now at this very moment are still in determination mode at what the bible even means on certain things; but your either are not ready to know that information because you still have to deal with other things first before you get to get that passage. I mean it is a passage for a reason right? To pass through to an awe moment. if you end up getting there at all instead of getting lost that is, unfortunately that is apart of this whole life thing (spoiler alert) things are set up to get you to not make that passage, hints why sin enter the world.
You know the bible is like no other book, as it is alive. Its true, you could be in the height of an unprecedented scenario with no way out and all of a sudden the spirit will lead you to the bible for a verse you need to hear or even a Sunday preaching. as your mustard seed of faith strengthens back to overflowing if you have the recipe right, in Gods eyes not your own. You then, in return, will be full of thankfulness. Which, opens for more gratefulness. Isn't it bizarre being thankful to God and living in that moment with him will bring on more thankfulness? There is nothing like having Faith+ a teacher (God/bible)+ truth it all turns into goodness because you are not stuck any longer, there becomes a clearing.
I am always thankful to God for giving the bible because, plainly, it shows he cares. SIMPLE. It is truly as simple as that. He gave us the bible so we can know that if we so chose we are able to look upon it and find answers to history, love, scientifically solved problems, future map, the whys and hows of anything we can ponder on. He did this because he loves us; even though we were sent out of Eden to go fend for ourselves like an 18 year old leaving the nest. He gave us the key on how to get back if we so choose. When I was young the first memory of anything related to God was of the bible. it's the tangible we get to have; while the world is so physically focused. It's dire to have, no?
